Ana Luiza é advogada com mais de 10 anos de experiência na área de
Propriedade Intelectual, tendo atuado em renomados escritórios de advocacia,
assessorando marcas nacionais e internacionais. Sua atuação abrange tanto a
consultoria estratégica quanto o contencioso, com foco em litígios envolvendo
marcas, concorrência desleal e direitos autorais. Participou ativamente da
condução de disputas judiciais e administrativas, além de negociações e
mediações voltadas à proteção e valorização de ativos intangíveis. Recentemente,
passou a integrar o time jurídico do Grupo SOMA, agora AZZAS atuando
diretamente no jurídico da FARM GLOBAL, onde contribui na expansão global da
marca, contribuindo com uma visão estratégica e multidisciplinar. É formada em
Direito pelo IBMEC-RJ, pós-graduada em Direito da Propriedade Intelectual pela
PUC-Rio e Mestre em Propriedade Intelectual pela Queen Mary University of
London. Complementa sua formação na ESPM-SP, com uma especialização em
Negócios e Marketing de Luxo Contemporâneo, o que lhe proporciona uma

Ana Luiza is an attorney with over 10 years of experience in the field of Intellectual
Property, having worked at prestigious law firms advising both national and
international brands. Her practice encompasses strategic consulting and litigation,
with a focus on trademark disputes, unfair competition, and copyright law. She has
been actively involved in handling judicial and administrative proceedings, as well
as negotiations and mediations aimed at protecting and enhancing intangible
assets.
She recently joined the legal team of Grupo SOMA—now AZZAS—working directly
with FARM GLOBAL’s legal department, where she contributes to the brand’s
global expansion with a strategic and multidisciplinary approach.
Ana Luiza holds a law degree from IBMEC-RJ, a postgraduate certificate in
Intellectual Property Law from PUC-Rio, and a Master’s degree in Intellectual
Property from Queen Mary University of London. She has also completed a
specialization in Contemporary Luxury Business and Marketing at ESPM-SP, which
adds a multidisciplinary perspective to her work, particularly in branding, fashion,
and the premium market.

Fernanda Beser é carioca, formada em Direito pela UFRJ e especialista em Propriedade Intelectual pela PUC-RIO. Atua em PI desde 2005. Ela é ex-fellow e consultora jurídica da Organização Mundial da Propriedade Intelectual.

Atualmente é Gerente Sênior de Business & Legal Affairs e Propriedade Intelectual na Netflix. Fernanda também atua como diretora adjunta da Câmara de Resolução de Disputas de Nomes de Domínio da Associação Brasileira de Propriedade Intelectual (ABPI), é co-chair do capítulo brasileiro da ChIPs (Chiefs in IP) e mentora no WLM (Women in Law Mentoring).

Fernanda Beser is a Brazilian lawyer, graduated at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with a specialist degree in Intellectual Property from PUC-RIO. She has worked in IP since 2005. She is a former fellow and legal consultant to the World Intellectual Property Organization.

She is currently Senior Manager, Business and Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property at Netflix. Fernanda also serves as deputy director at the domain name dispute resolution chamber of the Brazilian IP Association (ABPI), co-chair of the Brazilian Chapter of ChIPs (Chiefs in IP Association) and is a mentor at WLM (Women in Law Mentoring).

Ryan Abbott, MD, JD, PhD, is partner at the U.S. law firm Brown, Neri, Smith & Khan, LLP, where his practice focuses on dispute resolution in the life science and information technology industries. He is an experienced trial and appellate attorney, having appeared as an advocate and lead counsel in numerous U.S. state and federal courts as well as in foreign courts, including the UK Supreme Court, and in arbitration proceedings.

Ryan has managed numerous contentious matters ranging from high value commercial disputes between large entities, to patent litigation and litigation involving complex technologies such as cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance platforms, to disputes involving wrongful termination and wrongful death. Ryan has also managed the leading cases seeking to obtain patent protection for AI-generated inventions, and copyright protection for AI-generated and AI-assisted works.

Outside of the firm, Ryan is Professor of Law and Health Sciences at the University of Surrey and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles. He is the author of numerous publications including The Reasonable Robot: Artificial Intelligence and the Law (CUP 2020).

É advogado com ampla experiência em julgamentos e recursos, tendo atuado como defensor e advogado principal em diversos tribunais estaduais e federais dos Estados Unidos, bem como em cortes estrangeiras — incluindo a Suprema Corte do Reino Unido — e em procedimentos arbitrais.

Ryan já liderou inúmeros casos contenciosos, desde disputas comerciais de alto valor entre grandes corporações até litígios envolvendo patentes e tecnologias complexas, como criptomoedas e plataformas de finanças descentralizadas, além de disputas relacionadas a demissões indevidas e casos de morte por negligência. Também está à frente dos principais processos que buscam assegurar proteção por patente para invenções geradas por inteligência artificial e proteção autoral para obras geradas ou assistidas por IA.

Fora do escritório, Ryan é Professor de Direito e Ciências da Saúde na Universidade de Surrey e Professor Associado Adjunto de Medicina na David Geffen School of Medicine da Universidade da Califórnia, em Los Angeles (UCLA). É autor de diversas publicações, incluindo The Reasonable Robot: Artificial Intelligence and the Law (CUP, 2020).
