Daniela Thompson S. Martinez é a Head de Propriedade Intelectual da Natura. Daniela possui LL.M em Propriedade Intelectual pela University of Houston e construiu sua trajetória em empresas de destaque como Dannemann Siemsen, John Deere e Kimberly-Clark. Sua atuação se estende à participação no Comitê de PI da ANPEI e como conselheira no CONAR.


Daniela Thompson S. Martinez is the Head of Intellectual Property at Natura. With over 25 years of experience in the field, she has specialized in the protection and enforcement of IP rights, as well as in the negotiation of complex transactions. Daniela holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the University of Houston and has built her career at prominent organizations such as Dannemann Siemsen, John Deere, and Kimberly-Clark. She also serves on the Intellectual Property Committee of ANPEI – Brazil’s National Association for Research and Development of Innovative Companies – and is a board member at CONAR – Brazil’s Advertising Self-Regulation Council.

Etienne Sanz de Acedo


Etienne Sanz de Acedo é CEO da International Trademark Association (INTA) e da INTA Foundation. Ele é uma figura de destaque no campo da propriedade intelectual (PI), reconhecido por especialistas e colegas por sua abordagem visionária em relação às políticas de PI.

O executivo ingressou na INTA em julho de 2013. Etienne Sanz de Acedo is CEO of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and of the INTA Foundation. He is a prominent figure in the intellectual property (IP) field, recognized by experts and peers for his forward-thinking approach to IP policy.
Mr. Sanz de Acedo joined INTA in July 2013. He is known for leading the Association and its members through several challenges, including disruptions posed emerging technologies and the COVID-19 pandemic, and for fostering global collaboration around the key issues facing brand owners in an ever-evolving marketplace. He frequently discusses the challenges and
opportunities presented by new technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the metaverse, advocating for the adaptation of IP laws to keep pace with these advancements. Presenting IP as a revenue-generating resource, and not simply a cost center, Mr. Sanz de Acedo has highlighted the importance of integrating IP into business strategies. He encourages entrepreneurs to incorporate IP considerations early in their business plans and to leverage
tools for effective IP portfolio management. He also stresses the need for policymakers to better understand the value of IP, particularly its contributions to national economies, research and development, and social welfare.
Mr. Sanz de Acedo has been commended for his focus on belonging and inclusion within the IP community, as well as his efforts to engage small and medium-sized enterprises in IP discussions. In speeches and interviews, he often emphasizes the evolving landscape of IP and its critical role in the global economy.
His insights reflect a visionary perspective on IP and a desire to harmonize international
standards while also addressing the ethical considerations of the times.
In his role as INTA CEO, Mr. Sanz de Acedo works with the Board of Directors and Officers to recommend, formulate, and implement policies and programs for the Association; is responsible for the administrative operation of the Association’s offices and the supervision of all staff; and is responsible for the development and administration of the annual budget.
Before joining INTA, Mr. Sanz de Acedo was Head of Communications and Member of the President’s Cabinet at the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the EU’s intellectual property agency, where he was responsible for strategic communications and the agency’s corporate image and identity.
Before joining the EUIPO, he practiced as an attorney in Spain and taught law at the University of Alicante, Spain.
Mr. Sanz de Acedo holds a law degree from the University of Alicante, an LLM in European Community Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, and an executive MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid. A Spanish and French national, he speaks English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

Roberto Ribeiro é engenheiro civil e advogado, com MBA em Administração de Empresas. Com uma trajetória de mais de três décadas dedicada à Propriedade Intelectual, Roberto é atualmente responsável pelo Pharma Desk e temas de PI regional na América Latina da Daniel, liderando a formulação de estratégias de proteção e gestão de portfólios de patentes, com foco no setor farmacêutico e na indústria de ciências da vida.

Sua carreira inclui uma ampla experiência internacional, tendo atuado diretamente em projetos de PI em mercados da América Latina, Japão, África e Europa Oriental. Ao longo desse percurso, acumulou uma visão multidisciplinar e estratégica sobre diferentes setores, como os segmentos farmacêutico, mecânico, metalúrgico, de bebidas, cosméticos, higiene pessoal e bens de consumo.

Antes de integrar a equipe da Daniel, Roberto ocupou, por mais de uma década, a posição de Vice-Presidente de uma multinacional farmacêutica francesa, liderando equipes e projetos de alta complexidade na gestão de ativos intangíveis e no desenvolvimento de políticas globais de Propriedade Intelectual. Sua atuação é marcada pela combinação de uma visão técnica sólida com uma abordagem estratégica voltada à geração de valor por meio da inovação e da proteção de ativos tecnológicos.

Roberto Ribeiro is a civil engineer and attorney with an MBA in Business Administration. With over three decades of experience in Intellectual Property, he currently heads the Pharma Desk at Daniel Law. He manages IP matters throughout Latin America, leading the development of protection strategies and overseeing patent portfolios, particularly in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.

His career includes extensive international experience, having worked directly on IP projects in Latin America, Japan, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Throughout this journey, he has developed a multidisciplinary and strategic perspective across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, mechanical and metallurgical sectors, beverages, cosmetics, personal care, and consumer goods.

Before joining Daniel Law, Roberto served for over a decade as Vice President at a French multinational pharmaceutical company, leading teams and managing complex projects involving intangible asset management and the development of global Intellectual Property policies. His work is characterized by strong technical expertise and a strategic focus on creating value through innovation and safeguarding technological assets.
